Interesting…
According to some, Peter Zumthor, Daniel Libeskind, and Renzo Piano should not be referred to as architects (at least in the UK), since they are not registered with the Architects’ Registration Board..
As far as I am concerned, those three are definitely ARCHITECTS ! Being an Architect is what you do – based on an attitude – and how you do it – also based on an attitude – ! That’s it… Not what’s on a piece of paper. There are lots of so called ‘architects’ who have a piece of paper and a stamp and design, detail and ‘supervise’ the crab out of a project with no clue at all. They might have the title ‘architect’ but are definitely NOT Architects ! What happens with the title ‘network architect’ ?!?!?!? Sometimes people or institutions need to make a case in order to solve it so that they can proof that they are still important and have the right to exist…
